“2003 was a year of many personal changes for me, and I believe that a pivotal moment was when I attended Bridgette Raes´ Three Fives Workshop. A friend invited me as a birthday gift and it started to open my eyes about fashion self-awareness. After that, Bridgette has helped me with a color assessment and two wardrobe consultations. With all her advice and lessons, I find that my life has become more stylish – meaning, I’ve focused more on looking better and, consequently, I feel better about myself.
I actually saw this process as an opportunity for well-needed change, so I dedicated myself fully. The most challenging part was probably owning up to the fact of how much of my wardrobe was either an inappropriate style for me, or outdated, or just plain ugly. I donated half my wardrobe – the half that wasn’t working. Then I proceeded to invest a substantial amount of my savings in new clothes. Since I work on television, it was about time I took control of my image. Now it´s a joy to choose an outfit for work or play. I’m more confident about myself that with the right colors and flaw-hiding tricks I can feel fabulous.
On one occasion soon after my first consultation, I had a fashion emergency. I called Bridgette from the mall. I needed shoes for a new outfit she’d never seen so I described it by phone. With my cell phone in hand, Bridgette ¨walked¨ with me from store to store, suggesting which stores would be more promising and which styles and colors would work with my outfit. It worked out great: the shoes she helped me chose via telephone were perfect!
Truly, it’s been most satisfying to work with Bridgette Raes. I trust
her taste and her advice 100%, and she’s so personable that the process
is fun and it feels like an old friend giving you fashion tips. I would recommend
her with my eyes closed to any person or company considering hiring Bridgette
as a fashion consultant.”
