Jord Wooden Watches This week’s Fab Find is Jord Wooden Watches. Yes, you read that right these stunning timepieces are made from wood.

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, where we love wood. If you’ve seen Twin Peak or Northern Exposure (a TV show SET in Alaska but filmed in the Pacific Northwest) you know what I’m talking about.  Rustic decors with beautiful wood made from reclaimed trees . ( If you’re interested in rustic wood furniture, I went to high school with these guys)

Personally I don’t like watches. I hate having metal on my wrist. I can still remember after several hours of desperately trying to get one off, having to wake my neighbor up so he could undo the clasp and I could finally take a shower and go to bed.

Not only are Jord Wooden watches impressively beautiful watches, they are much more lightweight than regular metal watches and they have a push button stainless steel clasps so you can easily remove them by yourself. My first thought was a watch made from wood would be rough and heavy, but it is smooth as silk.

They’re also surprisingly durable, standing up to bump and bangs and all the times I slammed it into the edge of my desk.  I cannot say enough good things about these watches! They are such lovely works of art and so unique.  Get one now before everyone has one and you can say you started the trend, you’re not following it!
