I love Dobbin Clothing. The clothes are comfortable, figure flattering and, best of all, made in the USA of quality fabrics. I have several pieces in my wardrobe and never once have I been disappointed.
I recently sat down with the fabulous team over at Dobbin to share some of my style tips as well as a bit of my back story on how I got into my profession as a personal stylist.

I’m with you on Edith Head’s elegant designs. She made the most flattering, beautiful dresses for Natalie Wood. I’ve often thought of taking one of those designs to a dressmaker to copy. I loved the wide and deep V necks, loved that she also knew how to show off the waist line. Wish there were more like her today. SO tired of boxy and shapeless, drapey clothing for sale.
Clothing has become such a cheap and disposable commodity and the consumer has been trained not to spend a lot on clothing anymore. Have you read the book by Elizabeth Cline titled Overdressed? It is SUCH an eye opening book about fast fashion. My husband was just watching North by Northwest a few days ago. I’m not a huge fan of Hitchcock films but will watch them with him just for the clothes. Not surprisingly, I am a huge fan of Michael Kors too, mainly for his classic American sportswear.
Love you in that Sylvie dress Bridgette! Fabulous look on you!
Thanks so much Jen! It’s a great easy dress that is VERY comfortable. All of Dobbin’s clothing is, actually. When you look at it, it all looks very tailored and then you put it on and realize that you can have the best of both worlds!
Over the holidays I purchased Dobbin’s ponte pencil skirt and a silk snakeskin print blouse. The pencil skirt is fantastic quality, and I’m sure I’ll enjoy it for years to come.
So happy to hear this! I was really impressed with my skirt. I don’t wear skirts often but I am really happy to have this one!
Love the Dobbin’s clothing!! Hope to see more of it!
