I like fashion that is versatile.  I like it when pieces can be worn to work and on the weekends with little changes, clothing that can be dressed up or dressed down, and clothing that can look different with just a few accessories tweaks.  When it comes to vacation and traveling, I think versatility is key so you can pack less and wear more.  If you are heading away on vacation, bathing suit cover ups can be great pieces that can be worn beyond the beach.  Check out these cover ups that can go from the beach or pool to the street.  As you will see I am taking one cover up and styling it two ways to show you how easy it is.

Bathing Suit Cover Ups that Go from Beach to Street

Cover up #1

In these first looks, I am using this cover up romper from J. Crew.  On the left, I styled it for the beach or pool with this mint green swimsuit from Boden.  For beach accessories, I added these teal flip flops from Ecco, an orange nylon tote from Lacoste, that picks up the orange in the romper, a beach hat from Modcloth, and sunglasses Quay Australia.

For a streetwear look, I changed up the shoes to something dressier using these wedge sandals Nine West, a mint wristlet from MICHAEL Michael Kors and chandelier earrings from Lisa Stewart.  Of course, you can grab the sunglasses and hat and be on your way.

Cover up #2

Next up I used this little black style from Athleta that really shows how cover ups can be worn out beyond the sand and water.  On the left, I styled it as intended with a red and white polka dot swimsuit and played with pattern accessorizing the look with a black and white striped tote from Element, and added these white flip flops from Havianas, a floppy hat from Amici Accessories and sunglasses from Ray Ban.

For the street, I changed things up with a dressier pair of gold flat sandals and white Brighton crossbody and added a pendant from Nordstrom.   Grab the hat and the shades and you’ve got a chic sightseeing look.  Need a bigger bag?  Nobody said that tote bags have to be beach only.  Check out my post on how your one tote can be your only tote while on vacation here.

Cover up #3

Lastly, this cover up from the Gap.    In terms of cover ups, it makes a great little piece to style over a swimsuit, like I did above with this printed bikini (link to top, link to bottoms), a green tote from Vera Bradley, orange flip flops from Reef, fedora from BP. Nordstrom, and Tory Burch sunglasses.

For many, this cover up will likely be too short beyond the beach, so I added this pair of denim Berumdas, styled the look with a pair of Jack Rogers wedge sandals, a yellow crossbody from Cache and drop earrings from Kendra Scott.
