I grew up in a tiny town called Oak Harbor. Not to date myself, but this was before the internet. Shopping was a nightmare. The nearest mall a good 90 minute drive away. We wound up ordering our clothes from Sears or JC Penney catalogs (for those of you who’ve never seen a seasonal catalog they were about 3 to 4 inches thick and seemed designed by someone who truly hated mail carriers). Ordering from catalogs created a host of problems, not the least of which was because EVERYONE did it we all had the same clothes. I’ll never showing up to a school choir recital and 4 of us were wearing the exact same dress. FYI, I wore it best.
For those of you who had no idea what I’m talking about, you are so lucky.
Halsbrook
I would have given anything to have a wonderful educator like Bridgette Raes giving me priceless advice on how to put together outfits. Pair that with the 21st century version of the catalog, Online shopping, and the sky’s the limit. I’m so happy when I find a wonderful website full of quality clothing I can recommend to our readers.

What really makes Halsbrook (a combination of the founder’s first name, Halsey Schroeder, and Millbrook, the town she grew up visiting) different is the clothes.
