I don’t hate plastic. Really I don’t. But we use too much of it.  Forbes estimated we use roughly a MILLION bottles of plastic each MINUTE and 91% if NOT recycled.   I’ve realized most beauty and household products are largely water. This is so wasteful.

Is there a simple easy way to reduce the amount of plastic you use?

Ethique Shampoo Bars

Shampoo Bars are a fantastic way to save plastic and money. I have found an AMAZING company that has more bars than you can shake a stick at! Ethique makes not only shampoo but conditioner, body lotion, hair masks, pet shampoo, and even laundry and dish soap. It’s time to give up the bottle.

Ethique even goes further by using only non-toxic, plant-based ingredients that are harvested using sustainable sourced farming practices. By not paying extra for water using these bars will not only save plastic it will save money!

One thing that is very important when using these bars is how you store them. Make sure they do not sit in pools of water and are stored away from direct sprays as they will melt away quite quickly.  If you share your shower with other people you might want to remove it from the bathroom between uses.

Ethique does so animal testing but only when said animals volunteer! Are you a homo sapien? You can go to their website to volunteer to be a tester!

The bars are easy to use. Simply wet hair and slide the bar from root to tip, for shampoo lather and rinse, for conditioner leave on for 1 to 2 min then rinse out.

The company makes it a goal to support the whole planet. As a result Ethique supports a range of charities and groups.

Transparent trade

They work closely with the amazing community at the Women in Business Development co-operative in Samoa to sustainably harvest their coconut oil and shells, ensuring fair and equal pay, and minimal waste.

Cruelty free

Each year Ethique donates 20% of their profits to these charities to support animal rescue and rehabilitation as part of our bid to create a better, kinder world.
