Despite the world opening up, telecommuting will continue to be a big part of how people continue to work either part or full time. The pandemic proved we don’t have to sit around a table to conduct a meeting and much of what people need to do their jobs can be done from the comforts of their homes.
Last year, we were all cloistered away as we were taken by surprise and sent home not just to work but to live. Living in pajamas and joggers was apropos because where were we going? The grocery store? The pharmacy? On a good day, nobody gets dresses beyond what we wore at the onset of the pandemic to go those paces. 2021 is different. More people may be conducting business from home but we actually have places to go and things to do now. This introduces a new category of clothing that many women found themselves deficient in when the pandemic started– mid-casual outfits.
STYLISH PRINTED PANTS OUTFITS FOR WORKING FROM HOME
Over the past few weeks, I have touched on this topic of creating looks for working from home that offer comfort and style. We may feel ready to abandon the sloth of 2020 but not the comfort and when working from home, comfort is still a key component. To give you some more outfit ideas for this way of working, I have styled five printed pants outfits that don’t lack in ease or comfort but also offer a bit more polish so you don’t feel like you barely got out of your pajamas even though the pants are as comfortable as wearing them. Let’s take a look.
Outfit #1

This outfit is polished for a Zoom call but comfortable enough to be worn for a day of telecommuting. I styled these printed pants from J. Crew with a t-shirt in teal from Nordstrom. I finished the look with a white Eileen Fisher cardigan, a beaded necklace that picks up the colors in the print from Open Edit, and lavender flat sandals from Splendid.
Outfit #2

This is another look that appears polished for Zoom calls while also being comfortable. I styled these printed pants from Farm Rio with a navy eyelet top from Caslon. I finished the look with orange slide sandals and gold hoops from 8 Other Reasons.
Outfit #3

These printed leggings from Lyssé are comfortable and stretchy and offer a lot more style than that basic pair you own. I styled these pants with a white top from Madewell and finished the look with a pair of pink espadrilles and colorfully beaded hoops from Nordstrom.
Outfit #4

The paper bag elastic waist and relaxed leg style of these pants from A.L.C. are comfortable for a day working from home while looking chic. I styled the pants with a deep terra cotta t-shirt and cardigan from Eileen Fisher and finished the look with sage green from Seychelles and rose gold station necklace from Karine Sultan.
Outfit #5

In this last look, I styled the paisley pants from Mango with an embroidered knit top from Caslon and finished the outfit with navy Jack Rogers sandals and blush stud earrings.

So glad you are showing these sorts of clothes, Bridget! I always have the most difficult style figuring out what to wear in the summer, and it is nice that you are showing outfits that are comfortable, casual, and stylish.
