Once I started wearing weatherproof booties and boots it stopped making sense to me why I would wear any other type. Like life, weather is unpredictable, and while one could just consult their local weather before leaving the house, you never know when unexpected rain or snow will hit. For me, knowing that I don’t have to deal with wet feet and damp socks, which is such a gross feeling, is so liberating.
My go-to for weatherproof booties and shoes for years has been Aquatalia so I was saddened to hear that things are a little up in the air for them right now. Apparently, Aquatalia has been in bankruptcy-like legal proceedings since being seized by creditors. There is hope by all Aquatalia fans that the company will be sold off as an asset but for now, you can definitely feel the void in the marketplace. The good news is, there is still lots of Aquatalia to be found at places like Poshmark and The RealReal, which is how I have built up my vast collection. Aquatalia doesn’t make inexpensive shoes, but they do last.
WEATHERPROOF BOOTIES FOR FALL AND WINTER: STYLES TO KEEP YOUR FEET DRY ON INCLEMENT DAYS
Certainly, Aquatalia isn’t the only game in town. In fact, more brands have come to understand that if women are going to wear boots and booties, they’re going to be wearing them some of the time in inclement weather. Why not make them weatherproof? I am sharing some weatherproof booties for you to check out and shop here.
UPDATE ON AQUATLIA
After publishing this post on November 11th, I discovered that Aquatalia will officially relaunch on November 13th. You can visit them at aquatalia.com.

Some of my go to brands are also la canadienne, blundestone and Anfibio
Once again, Bridgette, you read my mind. I was just thinking I need a new pair of waterproof ankle boots. Thanks for the great roundup of choices.
